January 2021

 

At the end of January this year, we went to the mountains for the first time again. What was special about this trip: it was the maiden voyage of my new car. The little Jimny handled the difficult road conditions excellently, and we had a lovely weekend without any worries about getting safely to our destination.

 
 

March 2021

 

Even in March, there was still a lot of snow, but the roads were better and we were able to pack my great aunt into our car and drive somewhere to take a little walk.

 
 

April 2021

 

The snow is slowly melting, leaving a patchwork of snow behind. On Sunday morning, we were surprised by a fine layer of snow that Petrus had sprinkled on us. Unfortunately, the snow disappeared as quickly as it had come.

 
 

May 2021

 

Every year around this time, we go to Lukmanier to admire the blooming crocuses. This year, we also found some pasque flowers while we were there - and at lower altitudes, we found a huge amount of dandelions.

 
 

December 2021

 

Snow! So much snow, and pure sunshine too! It was the perfect weather for a trip to the mountains, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Waterwheels

Clavaniev

Above of Disentis you can find some quite cute waterwheels at the stream Clavaniev besides the small town Clavaniev. They are built from one of the villagers and were not promoted. Now, you can find them on Google if you search for "Wasserräder Clavaniev". If you are nearby, check them out - we think, it’s worth it!
