Above of Disentis you can find some quite cute waterwheels at the stream Clavaniev besides the small town Clavaniev. They are built from one of the villagers and were not promoted. Now, you can find them on Google if you search for "Wasserräder Clavaniev". If you are nearby, check them out - we think, it’s worth it!

In the lowlands, fog reigns, while the weather in the mountains was unpredictable: blue skies at 9 am, barely seeing the neighbors at 10 am, enjoying lunch on the terrace with a free sunburn, and then at 2 pm the wind and fog returned, leaving us shivering.

Red, orange, yellow, and green. All colors were present, the cows returned from the alpine pastures, and we had a truly breathtaking view to enjoy.
The Last Signs of Summer

It's hard to believe, but summer is almost over. Almost everything in the garden has bloomed and withered, and only a few flowers remain to admire. It has been an interesting year, and although it is coming to an end, there are still a few cold months ahead. I think this is the first year I have seen every single plant sprout, grow, and bloom.

We first grilled at the fire pit and observed a pair of wasp hawks (according to the identification book), then climbed up to the ruins of the old St. Benedetg Chapel to admire the new building at the other end of the village.
Summer Time

Corona is declining, and our visits to Disentis are becoming less frequent. We gladly give the rest of our relatives and acquaintances priority. Nonetheless, we still manage to secure a few weekends to enjoy the beautiful weather and the garden in Disentis.
Clavaniever Herons

We were also in the mountains quite often this year - but I definitely forgot the camera at home too many times... Nevertheless, thanks to the pretty good iPhone camera and a few visits with the camera, there are also some pictures to admire this year.
