The idea was simple: a long weekend at the beginning of the lecture-free period, before I had to bury myself in books for the next weeks (or rather months). We drove along the Rhine river towards the north, visiting castles on the left and right sides - including an overnight stay at one of them!
Once we arrived "at the top", the next day was reserved for a visit to the Burger Zoo. At that time, it was one of the first and most famous zoos with several animals in a significantly larger enclosure - including the pathway above the African enclosure with zebras, giraffes, and more.
