We went for a long weekend trip to the Provence with a tight but exciting itinerary. Unfortunately, we had the special kind of luck of being told that the lavender fields were either already bloomed or not yet in season. Despite that, it was a beautiful weekend with plenty of sunshine during our stay. The combination of limestone soil, midday heat, and no sunglasses was not ideal, but it was worth waking up early every day and returning late at night to the hotel.
