The enchanting unicorn "Nora" is again a pattern from Hoooked. I was unhappy with the German translation (I didn't check the English translation) of the crochet pattern: there were too many errors. On the other hand, the instructions for sewing together were much clearer and finally had several pictures from different angles - that helped a lot!
And there's so much yarn that it's enough for multiple unicorns!
The instructions made me rather unhappy, it's one of the worse ones. I have summarized my comments and corrections for you.
As always, I start with a magic loop for all parts instead of 2 chain stitches.
Body & Legs
Head
Ears
I've sewn the beginning thread at the ear edge downwards and pulled it tight. This way, the ear will slightly gather and look rounder.
Alicorn
I did the alicorn differently: a magic loop with 3 sc and then increased by one stitch each round (in the first sc) until I had 7 sc in one round. Then gently stuffed and sewn.
Simply follow the instructions in the pattern - this time the hints and pictures are great!
The wool was enough for three unicorns, with the third unicorn becoming a dream in pink - the yarn for the mane & tail only lasted for two unicorns. However, I still have a lot of white yarn left - who would like a white horse?
After I had a small herd of three cute but quite similar unicorns, I tried something different: May I introduce? Bubble Gum! Bubble Gum consists mostly of the instructions from Zizi, where the "nose" was shortened by two rows. The ears and horn are an "Original Nora".
